Laboratorio Temporal, as a Teaching Innovation Group (GID) at the University of Murcia, has as its main goal to establish bridges between the Faculties of Arts and Education to coordinate the training of future Geography and History teachers for Secondary and High School. Likewise, it ensures the need to train future Primary and Preschool teachers.
The Master's Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education and High School, Vocational Training, Language Teaching, and Artistic Education has as its main objective to prepare future teachers to address the various functions they will undertake in their professional life with a high level of commitment. Additionally, one of its purposes is to prepare future teachers to face the current and novel challenges associated with teaching in schools, including a focus on diversity, the use of ICT, and educational innovation. In the specific field of Geography and History, it trains teachers who will teach Social Sciences subjects in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and High School, students aged between 12 and 18 years.
Considering that our students, the majority of whom come from the degrees of History, Art History, and Geography, will be many of them future teachers in educational institutions, the responsibility for educational innovation becomes even greater since the transfer of our own innovation to society is direct. The need for the existence of an innovation group specifically dedicated to this degree, which coordinates and promotes different innovation projects, becomes more urgent when we consider the number of teaching staff involved.
